Meaning of Perequê


"Perequê" means "enter of fish", with the junction of terms in Tupi - indigenous language -  pirá ("fish") and iké ("enter").

The locations of the Beach is in the Brazilian county of Guarujá, São Paulo.  The Perequê Beach make part of a Village Caiçara, with several boats anchored in its clear waters. 

The traditional inhabitants of the coast of the Southeast and South regions of Brazil are called caiçaras, formed from the miscegenation between Indians, whites and blacks and who have, in their culture, artisanal fishing, agriculture, hunting, plant extraction and the craft.
